Partnering with local authorities

This training will: Give you an understanding on how to better engage with local and central government in the area of youth violence.

After this training you will be able to:

• Understand the various panels, groups and meetings that can support your local community and hold policy makers to account
• Increase your voice, as an advocate for those on the margins, and become a key ally and critical friend to local decision makers
• Gain a better understanding of the political landscape and have a clearer understanding of local authority powers and the policies impacting your community
• Use effective strategies to help bridge the gap and increase engagement between local/central government and your organisation

Space will be given to consider how your own practice can best challenge and support local/central government to help reduce youth violence.
